Triton Stories
Pictures are worth a thousand words, but the stories are much more entertaining!
Starting off on the Wrong Foot (Fin?)
Out of the haze, one hand trying hard to hold onto his floatline, the other clutching his Alemanni double roller. He got to the surface and proceeded to yank on his floatline in a game of tug-o-war with what was no-doubt some ungodly sea monster.
A Hearty “Welcome Back!”
Two personal bests were had this day and a bit of a scare from a near by fin that cruised by!
The bigger of the two lings was found in less than 10' of water sitting right out in the open! The reason this meaty ling was even spotted was due to showing new divers we met at the parking lot how to hunt for scallops! This seems to say that a little pay it forward can yield a payment in itself!
Our First Lings
“…And that’s how we found each of the other’s first lingcod.”
A Fish for Everyone
Spearos get so caught up with shooting game fish and recording depths they forget what a privilege it is to even be able to go spearfishing.
Why I became a PFI Instructor
If someone invites you to go freediving, be careful, you might find more than you were looking for.
Spot Hopping with 2 Pats
New boat, big Lingcod, and deep diving!
Trophy Sheephead
2.5 hours after we shot the fish, we finally got it out of the cave… what a great memory!
Name These Fish!
Taste the rainbow! Long weekend of diving and a lot to show for it! Can you name each of the fish?
My First Dive
“After about thirty seconds or so, a bluish hued fish came into my range. I immediately pulled the trigger…” Pop!” and shot my first fish! I felt an adrenaline rush, and a high from excitement that I had never ever felt before!”
