Baked Fish In Cream Sauce

Fish in creme

This is a Hong Kong inspired comfort food dish with a really easy preparation. Brandon was also the winner of the highly esteemed Dwight Huang lingcod gyotaku print that was made specifically for the 2019 Catch and Competition. Not sure what Gyotaku is? Check out our section on it!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 ½ T flour and 1T butter

  • 6-8" rock fish fillet

  • Chopped steamed vegetables of choice 

  • Grated Mozzarella Cheese

  • Day old cooked medium grain white rice

Method:

1) Whisk heavy cream with flour and melted butter

2) Bring to soft boil

3) Stir slowly until cream thickens

4) Steam chopped vegetables, precook as needed

5) Place vegetables over whole fish fillet on a bed of rice in a deep casserole dish

6) Pour the cream sauce over all and fill until all ingredients are covered, scale cream recipe to fill the casserole dish as needed

7) Top off with cheese to liking and bake until melted.
